Well, the sad day we were hoping wouldn't come has unfortunately arrived...the demise of our precious Turquoise Steel has come to pass. We should've seen it coming, as she has been lovingly well used, yet deteriorating in her old age. Not only had she gotten harder to start and louder...her driver's side door had not been able to be opened from the outside since freezing up this winter. Yep...not only did Danny have the proud honor of driving her, but the inconvenience of having to open up the driver's side door from the passenger side, then walk around to let himself in. Indeed, she will be missed... All joking aside, though, we have seriously been so blessed to have her in our lives, and she has treated us quite well. Turquoise Steel was generously given to us by one of my fabulous aunts, who never dreamed the car would make it all the way out to Colorado, let alone, last almost 2 more years and make it up to 200,000 miles!! And the timing actually isn't bad either, since Danny no longer has the additional commute for wrestling. He now takes the bus most days to and from work, which works out nicely to force him to be on a strict schedule! He actually enjoys the 30 min bus ride to catch up on some reading, and the kids and I love walking to the bus stop to meet him for the walk home! Not only am I grateful to have had this car, I am SO SO grateful for an amazing husband who would put up with driving it. If we could afford it, I would love nothing more than to surprise him with his dream car (since I know EXACTLY what it is, as he dreams about it to me all the time!!) Additionally, I am grateful he would be so happy to take the bus and make the best of this situation without even a hint of complaint.
Anyways, here's to Turquoise Steel and her beautiful memory...

On a side note...today is absolutely GORGEOUS! I love Colorado!! It is over 70 degrees today and sunny! We needed a few ingredients for some special cupcakes Danny requested for family night, so we walked to the store instead of driving. It was a pretty good haul for three little guys and a VERY pregnant lady, but it was an awesome way to spend our morning. WE had a blast!
Here's Jadan scootering!!

At the store, we got an extra treat...some ice cream cones for the walk home!

Cheers!
Here's to many more beautiful Colorado days!!
